Kais Sanchou

CEO of Jumia Tunisia

Kais Sanchou joined Jumia in 2022 where he serves as CEO of Jumia Tunisia. An engineer from Ecole Centrale Paris (France), Kais began his career as an entrepreneur in Tunisia before joining the Gemalto group in France in 2005 as Regional Sales Manager in Telecommunications. He evolved to become the head of the global strategy of their Government Programs entity. From 2012 to 2016, he left for the United Arab Emirates with Morpho, a subsidiary of the Safran Group, to manage its Telecommunications and Payment activities in the MENA region. In 2016, Kais Sanchou joined Careem, a ride-hailing startup based in Dubai, and directed their B2B activities throughout the region. After the acquisition of Careem by Uber in 2020, Kais supported several startups in the Middle East with a focus on international money transfer, helping them develop their business strategies around the world.
