Vanessa Connolly joined Jumia in 2025 as Group General Counsel. Vanessa brings 18 years of international legal expertise spanning Capital Markets, M&A, Corporate Governance, and Regulatory matters. Before joining Jumia, she spent 7 years at Thales Group, where she led complex Capital Markets and cross-border M&A transactions and managed multinational legal teams. She previously served as General Counsel at Holidog Group for 4 years, overseeing all legal operations during the company’s expansion into 10 new markets. Earlier in her career, she worked for 7 years at leading law firms Weil Gotshal & Manges and Willkie Farr & Gallagher as a Capital Markets and M&A lawyer. Vanessa holds a master’s degree in Business and Contract Law, a master’s degree in Financial and Banking Law and has been admitted to the Paris Bar since 2007.
