Jumia Morocco continues its responsible business approach and announces the launch of a vaccination campaign for the benefit of its deliverers, but also its subcontractors (collectors, cleaning ladies, service providers, etc.). The vaccination campaign, which was launched on August 4 by the e-commerce platform in consultation and coordination with local authorities, will be spread over 3 days and will be deployed in the Greater Casablanca region. It concerns all Jumia Maroc deliverers (a total of 300 people). A vaccination center located opposite the greater Wilaya of Casablanca will be entirely dedicated to this campaign.

The health and safety of our customers and delivery agents is a top priority for us. We are in a difficult period which requires us to put in place an effective strategy to further secure all our deliveries. To this end, we have decided to launch this vaccination campaign which concerns all of our deliverers,

said Larbi Alaoui Belrhiti, CEO Jumia.

“Since the beginning of the health crisis, Jumia Morocco has deployed a whole series of measures intended to ensure and guarantee maximum security for its customers, but also for its delivery agents and partners, in addition to fighting in a manner effective against the evolution of the COVID-19 epidemic. The current vaccination campaign that Jumia Morocco has just launched for its deliverers, employees and service providers comes in the wake of these measures”, recalled Badr Bouslikhane, Secretary General of Jumia Morocco.

In order to help contain the impact of the COVID 19 crisis as much as possible, Jumia Morocco had put in place, from the start of the crisis, a whole range of measures intended to counter the progress of the epidemic. Among the key health measures deployed by the e-commerce platform is the "contactless" delivery option, which eliminates any possibility of physical contact and limits any physical contact with cash as much as possible, but also between delivery people. and customers. Cashless payments are also part of the solutions deployed by Jumia Morocco to deal with the pandemic. Finally, it should be noted that Jumia's delivery agents have all received adequate training which allows them to effectively and scrupulously apply all anti-covid measures.
